For a long time I thought, refurbished TV and TV have been used different terms for the same thing. In fact, I thought, was renewed only used half a dollar per word. I'm glad someone put me straight. Knowing the difference saved me from my own ignorance.
If a coworker told me he just bought a refurbished set online and the store gave me the website address, I smiled, thanked him and put him in my wallet.
